Four categories of artificial marble: 1. Cement type artificial marble; 2. Polyester type artificial marble; 3. Composite type artificial marble; 4. Sintered type artificial marble.
Among the four types of artificial marble decorative panels, polyester is the most commonly used. Artificial marble has the best physical and chemical properties, and the pattern is easy to design and reproducible. Artificial marble is suitable for many purposes, but the price is relatively high. Cement-type artificial marble is the cheapest, but it has poor corrosion resistance and is prone to microcracks. Artificial marble is only suitable for making plates. The production process of the other two kinds of artificial marble is complicated and has few applications.
