Statuario Classic Quartz features the typical characteristics of natural Calacatta Statuario marble stone. Warm white background with a unique pattern of veining that ranges from subtle, bright gray to a more powerful, darker gray shade. While these veins in natural stone can vary from gray to purplish, and even green, in man-made quartz you get what you can expect and count on. This consistency is a lifesaver when designing a space.

Physical properties of Statuario Classic Quartz

(1) It is brittle.

(2) It has thermoelectricity.

(3) The refractive index is 1.533 ~ 1.541, the birefringence difference is 0.009, and the dispersion is 0.013.

(4) Quartz has a strong piezoelectric property (Piezoelectric property), that is, sparks will be generated when it is struck hard to rub. This is the method of making fire with flint.

(5) Common inclusions in quartz are Hair crystal-mainly rutile. Grass crystal-mainly tourmaline; water bladder crystal-liquid inclusions in quartz; celadon quartz-light blue rutile needles inside; milk quartz-turbidity caused by fine water holes; green quartz-plate-shaped Or fragmented chlorite, sometimes it may be green needle-like actinolite; aventurine (Aventurine)-quartzite contains green or reddish-brown mica flakes, also known as bright quartz, commonly known as aventurine. Common smoky black to dark brown smoky crystals is mainly due to the fact that these rocks contain more radioactive uranium and thorium elements.
