What is a porcelain slab? High-End Porcelain Tile is made from fine clay and a mineral called kaolinite. Feldspar, silica, and mineral oxides are usually found naturally in the clay and increase the strength and color. This mixture of clay and minerals is heated at incredibly high temperatures. The porcelain is very dense and non-porous.
