Porcelain slab countertops imbue visual luxury with superior durability. Porcelain or ceramic tile comes in a range of visuals from natural stone to metals, concrete, wood and more to complement diverse design aesthetics. Surface finishes can be honed, polished or textured.
While large white porcelain floor tiles have many exceptional qualities, be aware that the surface visual of porcelain slabs does not penetrate beyond the top layer. Two edge treatments are available for porcelain slabs: a square edge will expose the inside of the slab while a mitered edge provides a fairly continuous look over the edge with minor disruption of the visual.
