The Difference between Artificial Marble and Quartz Stone

Production process.

Artificial marble is an artificial stone made of unsaturated polyester resin as a binder, with natural marble or calcite, dolomite, silica sand, glass powder, and other inorganic powder, as well as the appropriate amount of curing agent, flame retardant, color, etc., by mixing ingredients, casting, vacuum and other methods of molding and curing.

Quartz stone sheet is made of more than 93% quartz sand and unsaturated polyester resin and other bonding materials, which is cured by ingredient mixing, vacuum, and high-pressure high vibration, and kiln heating.

Practicality.

But the hardness of poor load-bearing deformation degree and resistance to hard objects scratch performance is slightly inferior. artificial marble high-temperature resistance to about 90 degrees, but not long contact with overheated objects.

Quartz stone hardness can be high-temperature resistance, scratch resistance, anti-penetration, resistance to deformation, high gloss. But shaped shape is not easy to process, do complex shape is difficult, bump chipped corner difficult to repair, can not do seamless seams.

Price: Quartz stone is generally more expensive than artificial marble.

Quality Control

We classify it as 3 grades:

Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width less than 2mm per piece;

Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2-5mm per piece;

Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.

So the qualities will be like these:

1st choice ... All grade A pieces, some pieces may not have pink hair lines but normally have crystal lines;

commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;

Low quality ... with different qualities mainly for Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.

Delivery, Shipping, And Service

1, L/C at sight

2, T/T: 25% deposit by T/T, the balance by copy of B/L

Trade term: Ex-work, FOB or CIF are all acceptable

Packing detail:

Slab pack with wooden shelf or crates.

Step and tiles packing with wooden boxes.

All of goods are inspected carefully by our QC Before delivery.

It depend on the customers requirements and quanitity.

Q: Do you provide samples? Is it free or extra? 

A: Yes, we could offer the sample for free charge but you pay the express cost or sea freight. 

Q: What is your time of making samples? 

A: Usually we will take 1~3 days to make the samples. 

Q: What is your delivery time of orders? 

A: The time of delivery is 12-15days for first loading after we receive the deposit. 

Q: Besides marble slab and tiles, do you supply other stone products? 

A: Yes, we supply marble stairs, columns, mouldings, window sill, door surround, wall panels, etc.
